On an iCloud in the Sky…

by P. Braithwaite

I read the news of Steve Jobs’ death on my iPhone. This seems fitting because, as most people know, I am in a long distance relationship with my cell phone. I was one of those crazy people who stood in line for hours to get the first generation iPhone, but that’s a different story…

I’m not one to get sentimental about celebrity deaths, but something about holding this phone, this idea, in my hand, something about hearing that the man who keeps me so well connected has checked out…makes me incredibly sad.

I don’t know much about Mr. Jobs; however, after hearing of his death I suddenly had so many questions to ask him about love, about passion, and about God. As I went to research my answers, I came across his 2005 Stanford Commencement Speech. I’m sure it’s disgustingly viral by now, but in case you haven’t seen, I’ve posted it below. It answered all of my questions – and more.
